YS Falls

A view of the several cascading waterfalls of the YS Falls in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. The entire scene is draped in thick greenery plants and flowers and trees are all around the scene. Persons are seen on the wooden walkway on the right, as they snake their way up, most joining hands as they make their way up the different layers of the falls. A few of these visitors to Jamaica seen here traveled to this location with Island Turf Tours. A vivid Red Ginger – Alpinia Pupurata flowering plant with it’s large, broad green leaves edges out from the right side of the foreground.

YS Falls

YS Falls opened in 1992. It is a nature-based attraction offering the opportunity to experience the beauty of the waterfalls surrounded by lush gardens and magnificent trees.

There are seven waterfalls, several which cascade into natural pools. Some areas are fairly rocky and do not allow swimming. Lifeguards on site, indicate which areas are for swimming, however, being able to swim is a requirement. There is a natural pool, fed by underground and above ground springs, which is more suitable for children and others unable to swim.

More recent additions to the attractions at YS Falls, include exhilarating canopy rides, which glide from the top of the falls to its base. These adventures are accompanied by experienced guides to take care of you along the way.
