A fun elderly couple smile and pose for a shot in front of a picture on the wall of Robert Nesta ‘Bob’ Marley. Behind them we get a glimpse of Bob’s face on a red background and we see other museum pieces around on the left and right, one sculpture of a slave holding up a chain and lock to his ear on the left side, and the other of a swimming turtle on the right. The couple are dressed casually and the woman holds an unlit candle in her blue floral dress, while the man is in a white T-shirt and yellow shorts. Both are on a private excursion booked from Island Turf Tours.

At the Accompong Maroon Village in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, a favorite tourist spot for Island Turf Tours, a table is filled with colorful wood carvings. In the center is a carving of the bust of a dark-skinned man with a yellow hat on, and with yellow and red shirt and with his two arms outstretched. Inside his hands sit three crocodiles of striped green, red, and yellow colors. Other items include two lions who sit at either side of the man and a miniature statue of a lady who stands to the left behind the man. A table with other cultural relics wrapped around the sides with a ‘bandana’ cultural cloth (otherwise called Bandhani cloth), and a visitor’s feet can be seen off to the left.

When I saw this man with a wide smile and big thumbs-up marketing his tour business, and I’m noticing all the happy faces of the guests all around him I figured I’d also give Norris and Island Turf Tours a try.
