An Adventure to Roaring River
My search started when I hopped on to my phone and decided that I’m going to do something different with my island trip this year. The place is gonna be Jamaica, and I’ll start at Negril. So I brought up Google on my iPhone and the results came in. After thinking that I’d like to go more cozy and native, not so large-hotel-type touring, I went down the narrowed list. When I saw this man with a wide smile and big thumbs-up marketing his tour business, and I’m noticing all the happy faces of the guests all around him I figured I’d also give Norris and Island Turf Tours a try. Hopping over to onto the website I could see all his recent happenings and read about what others reported about their fun experiences, and it was clear that this is what we’re going to go with. I saw the Book Tour button and an hour later, I got the call. The man himself helped me to make the arrangements and now it was just to pack. We’re finally going back to Negril! We arrived pretty early at Roaring River, where Robert opened a cocoa plant for us to eat. And though I’ve been to Jamaica before it was my first time eating this fruit. It was… different, lol. And after exploring the yard where we visited – the greenery and flowers, we decided to take a dip in the river water before having breakfast. The Rastaman there prepared some nice fish and breadfruit that we’d later have for breakfast. We swam and enjoyed the fresh water for nearly an hour until it was time to move on to another nearby location. Book Your Tour with Norris Norris insisted that we eat soon, and so the fish that was initially secured by the Rastaman was given to his friend to cook for us. We later settled down and had the fish, with rice, yam, dumplings, and cabbage. This was all really good. And we spent time now sitting and listening to, and telling stories before going back to enjoying nature in Jamaica, and the river. There’s so much to learn about the country’s rich culture and ways. Book Your Tour with Norris The land that this scenic getaway was located was expansive and eventful. There’s something good to see or learn, or interact with around every turn. From the banana and the coconut plant, to the river itself – all told a story of beauty and goodness as we took them in. And to think, all this happened in just the first day of our week-long stay… Enjoying my time here with my friends. Norris, respect, and as they often say in Jamaica, “Big up Yuhself!” my now new-found island friend. 🇯🇲 Book Your Tour with Norris Author of the piece: Norris Anderson Facebook Instagram Tripadvisor #JamaicaGetaway #TravelExperience #ExploreJamaica #JamaicanCulture #VisitJamaica #VacationMode #NegrilTransport #IslandLife #JamaicaTours #JamaicaTransportation #EventTransportation #ComfortableRides #JamaicaAdventures #FamilyTravel
